We are back in Denmark after a very fun 2 1/2 weeks in the US. We started our visit in Chicago, where we stayed with Dave and LaDonna and the kids. It was SO fun to see them all again. Cian and Niamh had a snow-day on Friday so we got to spend extra time with them. Friday night we went to Cian's hockey game and to dinner at Don Juan's, where Cian and Brian got their fill of pumpkin enchiladas. We had a great time visiting them - we felt so at home. While in Chicago we also stopped in on our friends from Northwestern. Thanks to Lisa, Vilas, Margo, Tony and Joe for making our short time there so fun!
On December 21st we drove up to Milwaukee for Paul's graduation. We braved the -30 degree wind chills to celebrate his big day. Yeah, Paul!
We spent Christmas Eve with the Merkey and Reilly clan. We had a delicious dinner and had fun playing Apples to Apples. Here's a photo of all the "kids" in front of the fireplace. 
We celebrated Christmas Day with the Carmichaels. We had breakfast at Grandpa Jim and Grandma Frannie's, and then celebrated with my parents and Jenny and Breanna in the afternoon. On the 28th we celebrated with the Scheffler family. It was an afternoon full of good food, singing, and catching up with my cousins. We felt so lucky to have so many days of being surrounded by our friends and family and sharing the Christmas Spirit.
January 1st we headed up to Duluth to visit our friend Megan and attend Jon and Hilary's wedding. Jon was Brian's roommate for two years in Minnesota. Brian had a chance to catch up with several of his friends from Minnesota and we had a great time. Of course, it was fun to see Megan and Cheddar again. Thanks to Megan for the good food and for teaching us how to play Guitar Hero!Now we're back in Denmark and we have settled back into our routines. We found a new apartment and will be moving on January 24th. Yeah! Next week Thursday we have another ultrasound. We'll find out if this little baby is a boy or a girl!
