A while back we had read about the Coffee Collective coffee shop, and today we went and checked it out. They roast their own beans right there in the shop, so we picked up a fresh bag of coffee and had a warm drink too. The coffee shop was in an area of Copenhagen we hadn't been to before (Nørrebro), but it was near a cemetery we had also read about: the Assistens Kirkegård. Buried here are Hans Christian Andersen, Niels Bohr, and Søren Kierkegaard, among many other famous Danes.
We attempted to translate the text on H.C. Andersen's gravestone, but Google's translation was not too coherent; we're thinking it's written in an older form of Danish. We can imagine it to be something quite poetic, as it was written by Andersen himself.
(Also note the snow in the picture: we've had a dusting of snow each day this week, and now it has started to add up. It's very pretty here right now.)
