Thanksgiving

It's hard to believe that it has been over a week since we celebrated Thanksgiving.  The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas always flies by. We were in Wausau for Thanksgiving weekend, and I can say for sure that Oliver was thankful for the snow that fell while we were there.  We knew that snow was in the forecast, so we took Oliver's shovel along and he had fun putting it to use. It was very fun watching him try to figure out how to walk in all his winter gear while high-stepping it through the snow.  On several occasions he just stopped trying and waited for someone to pick him up.  

Ready for action

Thanksgiving Day we celebrated with my Dad's side of the family and had lunch at my Aunt Kay and Uncle Jim's house.  They are in the midst of adding a new room onto their house with a very cozy fireplace.  It looked great!  Oliver got to spend some time with his cousin Zach.  Now that Zach is crawling he can give Oliver a run for his money.  They mostly played alongside each other with the occasional tackle thrown in.

We are very thankful for the time we get to spend with our families, not only during the holidays but all throughout the year.  Living in Evanston means we can't always be together, but we are very thankful for Skype, which helps us see each other and be together from afar.  We are happy and healthy and we can't ask for much more than that.
