A week ago our friends Britta and Thomas and their girls visited from Denmark. It was SO great to see them again - it had been a little over 3 years since we saw them last. We were happy to show them around our city and give them a glimpse of our life here. (We're sorry about the weather. It is generally not 40 degrees with a strong cold wind this early - really!) There were so many *best* parts about having them here, but a really great part was watching our boys and their girls play together without being able to speak the same language. Play is truly universal.
Their visit went by quickly and it was so hard to see them go, but we know we will see them again. (We think we've got Thomas hooked on coming back now that he knows there's a Gander Mountain store in town.)
We're so glad they made La Crosse a visit on their trip to the States. Thanks, Britta and Thomas!
