We spent Easter weekend in Wausau, enjoying the company of family and friends. Saturday was a really windy day - the perfect kind of day for flying a kite. We took Breanna's Snow White kite out in a field and boy, did it fly!
Saturday was also the day of Oliver's first egg hunt at Good Shepherd Church. He had to be practically right on top of the eggs to see them, but when he saw them he got excited about finding them and picking them up. And he got to meet the Easter Bunny! I just wonder what thoughts were going through his head...

Sunday morning brought another egg hunt, this one at Oma and Papa's house. Oliver and Breanna searched the house and gathered the eggs. Ollie loved shaking them. He had his own little maracas! Ollie, of course, also loved putting anything in his mouth that he could find, including an entire Kit-Kat bar.
My aunt Theresa hosted the Carmichael clan for Easter lunch. We enjoyed a delicious spread of more food than we could eat in a week!Brian's family was out of town, but we were able to see a few of them just before the weekend. Grandma Sara, Jen and Zach stayed with us Thursday night on their way from Iowa to Milwaukee, and we met Grandpa Steve for dinner in Fond du Lac Friday night on our way to Wausau. Saturday night we had a rare opportunity to go out with our friends Megan and Stacy, who were both in town visiting family for the holiday. We had a fun time catching up and reminiscing. All in all it was a very relaxing and fun weekend.
