Easter

After a successful house hunting trip in La Crosse we made our way up to Wausau for Easter weekend.  It was a weekend full of eggs - coloring eggs, hiding eggs, finding eggs, and eating eggs, or at least eating the surprises that were found inside of them.  Friday afternoon we colored eggs with Oma and Jenny and Breanna.  Oliver stuck around to color two eggs.  After that he had seen enough and was off to play.  Bre and the grown-ups finished coloring the rest.  We decided to try coloring brown eggs this year, and they made the most beautiful deep colors.  We were happily surprised by how that experiment turned out.

Saturday was a very busy day.  We started out with an egg hunt at church.  It was cold and drizzly, but that didn't stop the kids at all.  The Easter Bunny made an appearance, and after the hunt the kids enjoyed a little snack. We then made our way to have Brian fitted for a tux for Jenny and Keith's wedding.  After a quick lunch stop we stopped in to visit Brian's cousin Kim and her husband Matt.  They recently had a baby girl.  She is adorable and we were happy to get to see her. Their son was asleep during our visit, so we missed seeing Levi.  We took a little break back at Oma and Papa's house and then went on to visit Jen and Andy and Zach.  The boys had a good time playing.  It was so fun to see Zach walking around on his own.  He walks like a pro!

Sunday was the day of egg hunts.  We went to Sunrise service at Sylvan Hill, but even before that early hour Bre and Ollie were searching for eggs and their Easter baskets.  We had a yummy lunch at Theresa and Bill's, which was followed by another egg hunt!  Then it was off to Gma Marie's for another egg hunt!  Oliver was loving it.  He got so excited when he spotted an egg.  The fact that we had four egg hunts over the weekend didn't wear out the excitement for him at all.

It was a busy weekend for sure, but we were so happy to be able to see so much of our family.  Ollie had a hard time leaving once it was time to go.  We're looking forward to being in La Crosse, where we won't have quite so far to go to visit everyone.
