We had a very musical start to the weekend yesterday, and it was all about kids' music. In the morning we went to Ravinia to watch Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players, one of Oliver's FAVORITE bands. We have seen them a couple of times in the past year and have several of their CDs that Ollie could listen to over and over and over again. If you have kids, or even if you don't but love catchy rock music, check them out! Ollie did a lot of toe-tapping and swaying (we call him our subtle dancer) and singing. We had a great time at the concert, and Ravinia is by far one of the most beautiful outdoor concert settings in the area.

We had a little lunch and nap break after the concert before heading to Old Town Folk Fest with our friend Lisa. Oliver's Wiggleworms teacher, Mr. Jeremy, has a band called The Dreamtree Shakers that plays music for kids. Ever since Wiggleworms ended a couple of weeks ago Oliver has been asking for Mr. Jeremy, so we thought this would be a perfect chance for him to see him again and hear some more music. Before the concert we toured the Instrument Petting Zoo where Ollie got to try out some different instruments. During the concert Ollie danced and jumped around to the music and he even got a shout-out from Mr. Jeremy between songs. After the concert Ollie chatted with Mr. Jeremy, we had some dinner, and then we set out for home.

It was a very busy day, but it was filled with good times and good music.
In other exciting news, we have a new niece! Jennifer, Andy and Zach welcomed Kyiah Jo into their family on Friday. Mom and Baby are doing well and we are anxiously awaiting photos of their sweet little girl! We send great big congratulations hugs and kisses their way!
