Last weekend we took a quick trip down to Des Moines to visit my grandparents. We hadn't seen them in much too long, and we had a good time visiting again. We spent much of Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa Peterson, and with Grandma Sara who made the trip over too. Oliver brought his harmonica for some duets and lessons with Grandpa, and the boys took a few trips down the block to check for mail. ("No mail yet!" Henry would say.)

We capped the evening off with a delicious pizza dinner. (Of course, Grandpa had me help him with a few computer issues while we were there too - no visit would be complete without that!)
We spent the night and Sunday at Grandpa and Grandma Merkey's house. Also visiting were my uncle Kent, my aunt Janice, and my cousins Melissa and Zach. It was a full house, and it was great to see everyone again.

The boys kept busy playing inside and out, and could have spent all day filling the slide with rocks and then sliding down into them. It was great to see them playing outside because we've had rain-filled weeks here before the trip and since then too.
