Last week my parents made the trip over to visit us. We were lucky to have had a few days' rest after Vilas and Lisa left, because they, too, hit the ground running. We went along for some of their sight-seeing, but when we couldn't join them they were able to find their way on their own pretty well. They were able to see a lot of the Copenhagen city center, and one day took a trip to Helsingør to visit Kronborg Castle. Other visits included the National Museum, the Round Tower, a canal boat tour, a walk through the deer park, and a trip to over to Sweden. They were lucky to have good weather almost the entire week, and the sun even showed its face a few of the days; as proof, notice the shadows on this picture of my mom with H.C. Andersen:
Of course, they didn't get our wonderful city tours for free: they brought with them a big load of foods we had been missing, including kringla and Golden Grahams cereal. The contents of their suitcases were worth their weight in gold!
We had fun introducing them to Copenhagen, and we're glad they could make the trip!
