We just returned from a little trip to Chicago. We went to check out our new apartment, catch up with friends, celebrate Brian's big 29th birthday, and meet with employers. Our new apartment will definitely be a nice place to call home. It's comfy, cozy and in a great location.
A super big thank you to Lisa and Mark for opening up your home to us again. Thanks, guys! We really enjoyed just relaxing, talking wedding cakes, and watching The IT Crowd.
And thanks for celebrating Brian's birthday with us! Happy 29th Brian! Enjoy this year... next year it's the big 3-0!
Proving that he's still a kid at heart, Brian had a great time with Cian and Niamh. It was so nice to see the kids and Dave and LaDonna again. We always feel so at home there. Thanks, Dave and LaDonna! We had a delicious dinner with them at Penny's Noodle Shop and had a relaxing Saturday morning at their home.
Oliver had a great time with the kids. Niamh was a super helper, changing Ollie's diaper and feeding him his dinner. Cian had a good time doing laps with Ollie. We need him around more often to give our backs a break!
It's hard to believe that in 5 short weeks we will be moving back to Evanston. We feel so lucky to have been able to spend these past months in Wausau. It certainly will be hard to leave, but we keep reminding ourselves that Chicago is not nearly as far away as Copenhagen! We'll be close enough for many visits back to Wisconsin.See more Chicago pics here.
