The summer is off to a fun start! We've been trying to take advantage of all of the festivals and fairs that Chicago has going on during the summer while we are still close enough to enjoy them. This past weekend we took the train down to the Printer's Row Lit Fest. In past years we went there to browse through all of the used books for sale. This year we went to see Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players, Oliver's favorite music group. It was so fun to see his face when they would start playing a song he recognized. When it was over he wanted, "More Justin Roberts!".

We are so lucky to live close to so many parks, and of course the beach too. If Oliver could pick any place to spend an entire summer day it would be in the sand, whether it's at the beach or in the sandbox at the park.

Ollie is really looking forward to his birthday. It's hard to believe that in 2 weeks our little summer boy is going to be 2! He keeps telling us he's going to be two, and he tries really hard to hold up two fingers, but that is proving to be difficult for his little fingers. We're working on it, though!

The weather this week has been HOT. The last three days have neared 100 degrees, and it's hard for me to spend much time outside. Luckily, we have the air conditioned Little Gym to visit! Oliver loves going there. It seems every time we go he is trying some new trick.
