HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Oliver! Today was the big day - Ollie finally turned 2! We had a bigger early celebration with family and friends at the farm two weeks ago. Today we celebrated smaller with lunch at The Choo-Choo Restaurant. We were happy to have Niamh and Misha join us since Niamh and Cian couldn't make it to the farm party.
This restaurant is tiny but so much fun! Booths and stools are spread around the dinner counter and a model train actually runs atop the counter and delivers your food to you. Of course Oliver was fascinated with the train, and it did provide a minor distraction to his eating, but you only turn 2 once, right? He spent a lot of time watching for the train to come out from the kitchen and wondering where that food was going.

After we finished our meal the train delivered birthday cupcakes for the kids while the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday. The cupcakes came complete with a train whistle on top. Ollie used his whistle as a fork. He ran it through his frosting and licked it clean.

Where these past two years have gone we do not know. Time is flying for sure, but it has been such a blast to watch Oliver grow and learn. Happy Birthday, Oliver! We love you!
