Halloween has come and gone, but Oliver has not stopped talking about it yet. We carved pumpkins while in Wausau for Henry's Baptism. Our friend Lisa displayed her extraordinary carving skills once again as she turned an ordinary pumpkin into a picture of our sweet little Henry.
Cowboy Henry showed up for the big trick-or-treat night, as did Oliver the Ghost. Don't be afraid - Ollie was absolutely sure that he was a friendly ghost. Cowboy Henry was all bundled up in the stroller (it was quite a chilly night), so he didn't get quite the recognition that Oliver did. But we knew that under those warm blankets was our little buckeroo.
Oliver had his ghost lantern to light our way. It wasn't quite dark when we started out, but that lantern came in handy as we went on wandering our neighborhood for treats. Ollie's favorite part? Ringing the doorbells, or course. Any button that you can press to make noise is right up his alley.
He was so excited about getting treats! Once we were back home Dad and Oliver dumped the candy to inspect what was in his bag. He made a haul, which was more than I had expected for only going around our block. We had a fun time, and it gave us a chance to talk with some of our neighbors that we don't always see. Oliver is already talking about next year...
