Full of Thanks

We spent the long Thanksgiving weekend in Wausau and the weekend was all about cousins, cousins, and more cousins! 1st cousins, 2nd cousins, 3rd cousins and beyond. Boy did we have a fun time! 

We started the weekend with a deliciously untraditional Thanksgiving spaghetti lunch at my parents' house.  We were happy to share the meal with my parents, grandparents and my sister and her family.

After lunch we set out for our next meal with Brian's family at his sister's house. There we were happy to share a meal with Brian's parents, Jen and Andy and the kids, Paul, and the Reilly's.  We had a great day full of good times, good people, and good food!

Friday we had a quick lunch with our friend Stacy.  Even if it's a short visit it's always great to see her. On Friday night we got together with some of my cousins to play some games and give all of our kids a chance to spend some time together. Ollie and Henry had a blast with Aubrey, Bryce, Mikayla and Bre.

Saturday night brought another big meal. We had dinner at my aunt Kay and Uncle Jim's house with my Dad's side of the family.  Twenty-six smiley folks gathered to eat turkey, play games, and hang out by the fire.

We rounded out the weekend with Sunday breakfast with Brian's extended family at Kim and Matt's house.  So many kids, so much fun! It was nice to see everyone one last time before heading for home.

Throughout all the feasting and playing we did not forget to think about all that we are thankful for.  I am thankful for my two boys who keep life real, for Brian who keeps me sane on the craziest of days, and for our families and friends who all helped to make this summer of big changes an easier one.  We are truly blessed!
