We had some visitors last weekend. Oma and Papa came down for a visit and surprised us with Breanna too! After some loud and excited squeals we got down to the business of playing. The children's museum just opened a new exhibit on The Wizard of Oz, so we were off to see the Wizard!

The kids had a lot of fun exploring scenes from the story. We got caught up in a twister, visited the munchkins in Munchkinland, and followed the yellow brick road to Oz. Along the way we met some great characters. Members of the community theater were dressed up as Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman (or metal man, as Ollie called him), and the Lion. Not only were their costumes great, but they acted out the parts really well too.

Oliver hasn't seen The Wizard of Oz movie, but he has watched the Veggietales movie The Wizard of Ha's. The storyline is very similar, so he could make the connections of who these characters were. With a little help from Dad he found the courage to take a picture with them.

Besides the Wizard of Oz exhibit we played with boats in the water, worked and shopped at a Kwik Trip gas station, and walked through a dinosaur maze quiz (Bre's favorite). It was a fun visit, and we're so glad Oma and Papa and Bre were here to play with us!
