We were up in Wausau last weekend. My cousin's little guy turned one, and we partied in classic Dr. Seuss style to celebrate his very first year. Ben and Joellen outdid themselves with the decor and food themes. It was so much fun! Luckily, I remembered we had these Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts for the boys that we had gotten at a rummage sale some time ago. They were just what we needed for this occasion! (Oliver insisted on being Thing 2 because he is 2 years old.)

My sister and Sam made it over for the day on Saturday, so we got to see them as well. In just a few short weeks they'll be heading out west to Colorado, so we are happy to see them any chance we get before they go.
On Sunday my dad got his turkey, thanks to a tip from Uncle Glen. (It was strutting around his backyard!) Dad was having some back issues and couldn't carry the turkey, so guess who came to his rescue! I actually held and carried a dead turkey with my bare hands. I do surprise myself sometimes.

Also on Sunday we had lunch with the grandparents and Oliver and Henry got in some fun play time with Zach and Kyiah. The kids are growing up so fast. In just over a month Oliver is going to be 3. How did this happen? The weekend went by so quickly, but we had a ton of fun. Can't wait to do it again sometime!
