This past weekend I gave Henry his first haircut. It was a hard thing for me to do because I will admit that I LOVED his shaggy beach blonde hair. But it had to go. Henry spent the past couple of weeks swatting at his ears and causing me to think he might have an ear infection. In fact I took him to the doctor for an ear check when he first started swatting at them but his ears were perfectly perfect. Then we came to the realization that his hair was so long that it could be tickling his ears. We sat him down for a trim and he was pretty excited about it. He actually sat very still (thanks to an episode of Wonder Pets on the iPad). From the photos below it might look like he's not so sure about his new style, but rest assured he's good with it now and he has not swatted at his ears once since the trim. Yep, his hair was just too long.

Sunday we spent the day celebrating Dad. He's the guy who comes home from work and swoops in to take over with the boys and grants me five minutes of peace. He brings in a breath of fresh air that revitalizes all of us. He's always up for building block towers or snuggling in the brown chair to read books. You're looking at two of the luckiest boys around to have this Daddy. We love you!
