Apples and Pumpkins

Grandma Sara and Grandpa Steve were here last weekend and we had a fun-filled couple of days.  On Saturday we took a trip to a very fun apple orchard.  We walked through a pumpkin patch, took a tractor and wagon ride, walked through a corn maze, and chased the boys around the play area.  Oh, and we picked apples.  Lots of apples!

That's one BIG apple!

They always taste better right off the tree

On Sunday we went down to Riverside Park to check out the American Queen river boat that had docked for a few hours.  It was HUGE - a hotel on water!  It was grand and glorious.  Playing right near the boat was a very fun banjo band.  Turns out these guys came from all over to La Crosse for the Midwest Banjo Jamboree.  Oliver was super excited for two reasons.  1. A band was playing!  2.  He counted 11 banjos playing at the same time!  He could hardly contain himself when they started playing Jingle Bells.

It was a great weekend to be out and about taking in the sights.  Thanks so much for visiting - we had so much fun!
