We have a Preschooler in the house. Oliver started school this past Tuesday at La Crosse Montessori Preschool. He loves it. When we get to school he walks in, takes a good look around, then finds a project to get started on and away he goes. No looking back. As a first-time school Mom I am so glad he feels comfortable there and is excited to get in and get started. My heart is at ease. But I do have to say that a good-bye hug would be nice. Maybe he could at least pretend that he'll miss me?

Oliver goes three mornings a week, so that means that Henry now gets some uninterrupted Mom time. The school is about a mile away from our house, so we can walk there. We haven't done that yet, but we will try it this week. I asked Oliver what he does while he's at school. "Don't know?" was his first response. After a little prodding I found out he loves to feed the classroom goldfish, Goldie and Glub Glub. He also loves to play a memory game with one of the teachers, and pound golf tees into a piece of styrofoam with a little wooden hammer. And so starts a new chapter for us. Have fun, Oliver!
