Yesterday we took a road trip north along the Mississippi River to Wabasha, Minnesota, to visit the National Eagle Center. We had heard that there were high counts of eagles wintering in this area and we went there to see them. See them we did! We found them sitting in trees, resting on the ice, and swooping down to the water to find some fish. Aside from watching the eagles along the river we also toured the Eagle Center, which was the perfect size for two little boys. They house several injured eagles there that can not be released back into the wild, and three times a day they host educational talks about the eagles. Did you know eagles can fly up to a mile high in the air, and can see three miles ahead of them? We learned so much and had fun watching the eagles. It was a great afternoon getaway!

Oh, and so sad you can't continue with the Decorah eagles, as they will not be broadcasted this year. Sounds like fun!
