Exploring København

We spent today doing "practical" things like inquiring at a bank about setting up an account.  Unfortunately, the man we spoke with wasn't too patient or easy to understand, but we confirmed that we can't set up an account until we live here.  Serious work done with, we went shopping!  We found a grocery store and wandered around inside for a while comparing Danish and American food prices.  We were pleasantly surprised to see that prices aren't that much higher than Chicago and in fact, organic produce is a bit cheaper!

We met up with friends of a friend of a friend (Native Danes!) this afternoon  and bombarded them with questions that have been on our minds.  They were really nice and very helpful, and it was fun to talk with them.  They'll be a great resource when we're here.

We topped off the night with a movie: En ægte Mand.  (That's 'Made of Honor' to us Americans.)  I've been wanting to see that for a while but it didn't happen.  Brian was sweet to go to a chick flick,  so we saw it in Copenhagen - in English complete with Danish subtitles.

Tomorrow we head North to Helsingør to visit Hamlet's castle.  Hope everyone is well!
