Time Flies

It's hard to believe that Oliver is already two weeks old. These early days sure do fly by. It's amazing to look back at pictures from his birth and compare those to pictures of him now - he has changed so much already in these past two weeks. His face is filling out - it isn't as scrunchy as it was at birth. His color is becoming more regular - he's not so red and blotchy any more. He's so alert, with his big eyes taking everything in. And he has a heart-melting smile. (We know it's probably just gas, but we love it anyway.)

Oliver is quite the eater. I am pretty sure he'd eat 24-7 if he could. He absolutely loves snuggle time with his Dad. Those two are quite the pair. When Oliver falls asleep in our arms we know we should put him in his bed, but it's much too fun to hold him and watch him sleep.

Two weeks ago a little bundle of love came into our lives and we are forever changed. Gone are the full nights of sleep. Gone is the ability to do what we want when we want. But in the place of all that we have Oliver, and we wouldn't change that for anything in the world.

P.S. 54 days until we head back for home. Not that we're counting...
