A Birthday Party!

We celebrated Oliver's birthday in Wausau this weekend. Oliver celebrated being almost one surrounded by many grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles and cousins and friends.

He didn't know what to make of a whole room full of people singing to him. He just sucked his thumb and took it all in.

He enjoyed his cupcake (he tried to eat it with a spoon), and his ice cream (he tried to eat it with his hands).

And, of course, he enjoyed opening his gifts. After they were all opened he sat on the floor in the midst of all of the shredded paper and discarded boxes and enjoyed his new popper.

We are always so grateful for the help of our families. Without them, this party would have been nearly impossible to pull off. THANK YOU! We had a great time seeing everyone again and we keep telling Oliver how lucky he is to have so many people in his life who love him so much.

And, finally, a big CONGRATULATIONS to our friend Jennifer on her graduation from Ashwaubenon High School. We stopped by her party on the way home on Sunday. Way to go, Jennifer!
