After a long and cozy morning nap (for Oliver, that is) we packed up and headed out for Warwick Castle. A short train ride took us into the center of Warwick, which is a really cute little town.

After a few days of pushing the stroller everywhere I decided that today we would try and go without. Ollie loves being in the Moby wrap, and it was perfect for getting around all the tight spaces inside the castle. We toured most of the inside of the castle except for the dungeon. Babies weren't allowed down there, and admittedly, Mom wasn't too keen on going down there anyway.

Ollie got a little running around time inside the castle grounds. He got his first skinned knee, but it didn't even phase him. He's also getting 4 new teeth in right now, so his thumb has really been his best friend.

Peacock Garden
On the castle grounds was Peacock Garden, a beautiful garden with flowers and perfectly trimmed hedges and topiaries. And peacocks! There were at least a dozen peacocks running around inside the garden and throughout the castle grounds. They seemed to pose perfectly on top of the hedges. They are a gorgeous bird, but they sure have a very piercing screech. Of course Oliver loved it when they'd make a racket.
Tomorrow is our last day in Birmingham. I'm not sure what Ollie and I will find to do, but I think we will stick close to the apartment. Brian should be done teaching by early afternoon tomorrow, so hopefully we will be able to have a nice family dinner together on our last night here. Bright and early Saturday morning we leave for Copenhagen!
