Last night we ventured downtown to watch some of the filming of the Transformers 3 movie. It's been filming in Chicago for a couple of weeks and we thought it would be fun to see what was going on. What we found was downtown Chicago completely turned upside down! 
There were cars and busses and taxis demolished, with rubble and fire everywhere. It looked like a war zone! It's incredible the amount of work that goes into filming one or two scenes for a movie. Not to mention the time it took to set this all up and the time it will take to clean it all up when they are done! 
We loved the signs put up so people would not think they were under attack. Do not be alarmed!

We even managed to get a peek at the star of the movie, Shia LaBeouf. Admittedly, Transformers is not my kind of movie. Too many explosions and too much destruction. I haven't seen the first or second movie, and I probably won't see this one, but it was very fun to watch the makings of the movie. It was neat to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring a blockbuster to the big screen.
